LINTON, ERNEST H. - Ernest H. Linton, 93, of the Drew Nursing Home, Sackville, and formerly of Moncton and Saint John, passed away peacefully at his residence on Monday, February 11, 2013. Born in Saint John, he was the son of the late Wallace and Ethel (Laskie) Linton. Ernest was a long time employee of Dominion Rubber and Uniroyal and was active in church life, both in Saint John and Moncton. He was a Naval Officer in WWII and remained an Officer in the Military Reserve. Ernest will be sadly missed by his nephews, Robert Breen and John Breen and their families, several nieces and nephews (some residing in Australia and USA) and by his best friend, Ronald Hopper. In addition to his parents, Ernest was predeceased by his wife, Gwendolyn I. (Evans) Linton (July 1996) and sisters, Helen Breen and Doris Wortman.
Visitation at Ferguson Knowles Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995) on Thursday, February 14, 2013 from 3:00 pm to 4:00pm, followed immediately by the Funeral Service at Ferguson Knowles Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Harold MacDonald officiating. Interment, Brown's Flat Baptist Cemetery. In Ernest’s memory, donations to the Alzheimer’s Society would be appreciated by the family.
