It is with sadness and broken hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Mary Malloy, age 54, of Glace Bay. Mary passed away at the Glace Bay Hospital on Sunday, Feb. 10, 2013.
Born in Glace Bay, Mary was the daughter of the late Alphonse and Margaret (Wadden) Malloy.
Mary loved to sing karaoke. She was a loving person and will be missed by all her family and friends. Mary loved to bake and help people in any way she could. She had a strong passion for animals and also enjoyed watching wrestling.
Mary will be sadly missed by her loving husband, Terry Ma; sons, Stephen (Wendy), New Brunswick, Blair and Jordon, both of Glace Bay; her sister, Shirley Morash and nephew, Terry Morash; cherished grandchildren, Ronin, Quentin, Elijah; aunts, uncles and cousins. Also pets Milo, Snuggles, Shadow and Riley will miss their loving and caring owner.
Besides her parents, Mary was predeceased by her son, Danny and cousin, Brenda Barnstable.
The family are honouring Mary’s wishes. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. in V.J. McGillivray Funeral Home, 16 Reserve St., Glace Bay. A funeral mass will be celebrated Friday at 10 a.m. in St. Anne’s Church, Glace Bay, with Fr. Leo Boone officiating. Reception to follow in the church foyer.
