Passed peacefully away in the presence of his loving family on Tuesday, February 12, 2013, Peter Benedict Hynes of Ferryland, age 82. Predeceased by their infant daughter Bernadette; parents: John Joe and Lucy; brothers: Howard, Vince, Clarence, Ernie & Tom. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories his wife of 61 years, Veronica (nee Williams); their 14 children: Ed (Rosie), Kenneth (Janet), Eileen O'Connell (Eric), Eric (Lois), Mercedes Johnson (Carl), Rollie, Wilf, Roddy (Rachel), Leona Croft (Denis), Donnie (Roxanne), David, Lucille, Jason (Nancy) & Tracy Coady (Brenden); 19 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren who he adored; brothers: Aiden (Edna) & Elroy (Maureen); sisters: Rita Maddock; Cecilia McKinnon & Marie Cleary; sisters-in-law: Mary Hynes, Jennie Rossiter, Emma Jordan, Anita, Madonna & Alice Williams; brothers-in-law: Ambrose & Jimmy Williams. Also an extensive circle of family, friends and neighbours. Peter was a one of a kind character who will be missed by all who had the pleasure of his company. He will be especially missed by the Friday night shed crowd.
