It is with great sadness that the family of the late Ed Hancock of Forteau, NL, announce his passing at the Long Term Care Unit on Saturday, Feb. 9, 2013 at the age of 87 years. Leaving to mourn with loving memories wife Mary (James); children Faye (Keith), Cecil (Beryl), and Peggy (Dwight); grandchildren Amy, Meghan, Kylee, Bryan and Dustin; brothers Douglas and Russell; and sister Shirley, as well as a large circle of family and friends. He was predeceased by his parents Artemas and Blanche Hancock, brothers Wallace and Clyde, sisters Gertrude and Flora. Visitation took place at the Anglican Church in Forteau on Monday and Tuesday from where the funeral service took place Wednesday Feb. 13, at 2 p.m. with Rev. Norman Cutler officiating. Interment followed in the church cemetery. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Fillatre’s Funeral Homes Ltd., L’Anse au Loup.
