Southern Harbour
(March 22, 1922 - February 12, 2013)
WW II Veteran (Forestry) Served 1940-1945. Passed peacefully away at Dr. G. B. Cross Memorial Hospital, Clarenville Dominic Leonard, age 90 years, 11 months, in the presence of his loving family. Predeceased by wife Catherine (Traverse), parents Virtue & Thomas Leonard, brothers Joseph, Benedict, Jerome, Cyril, Francis, Patrick, sisters Madeline and Marion and special friends Larry Gladney and Ignatius Leonard. Left with fond and loving memories children: Benedict (Eileen), Helen (Francis Ryan), Peter (Carrie), Jerome (Theresa), Hannah (Philip Ryan), Christina (Randy Emberley), Dominic (Jennifer), and Bernie; sister Stella Dunphy; brothers-in-law: Jerome Traverse (Josephine), Martin Traverse (Jen); sisters-in-law: Madeline (Fred Bannister), Helen (Mike Norman); his pride and joy - 21 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. Also large circle of nieces, nephews, family and friends. Resting at Christ the King Roman Catholic Church, Southern Harbour with Funeral Mass on Friday, February 15th at 2 p.m. Interment to follow at Southern Harbour Roman Catholic Cemetery.
