William Malcolm “Bill” Pitcher

62, MacBain’s Corner, Colchester County, Nova Scotia, passed away February 12, 2013 at home. Born in St. John’s, Newfoundland, he was the son of Ellie V. (Coates) Pitcher, St. John’s, and the late William E. Pitcher. Bill graduated from trades college as an industrial electrician and had over forty years of service in his trade having worked all across Canada in St. John’s, Toronto and Edmonton as well as in the United States and was a member of the IBEW at those locations as well as the International IBEW. Surviving is his wife, the former Daphne Dyson; sons, Bradford, MacBain’s Corner; Robert (Lynne), Riverview, N.B.; daughter, Victoria (Tim) Burns, Sunny Brae; granddaughter, Scarlet Burns; sisters, Rosalind (Lesley) Walker, Milton, Ont.; Verna, St. John’s; brother, Robert, (Terrilyn), Gunn, Alberta; several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held 7 to 9 p.m. today, February 15, 2013 in Coulter’s Funeral Home (657-3288), Tatamagouche, N.S. Funeral will be 11 a.m. Saturday, February 16 in the Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
