Passed peacefully away at the Health Sciences Centre on Saturday, February 16, 2013, Gerald F. Martin, age 84 years. Predeceased by his parents: Edward and Ann (Scott) Martin; step-mother, Bride; brother, Edward; sister, Justine McCarthy; son-in-law, Patrick Noonan; and his brothers and sisters-in-law. Leaving to mourn, his loving wife of 60 years, Winnifred (Puddister); son, Brian (Brenda) Kitchener, Ontario; daughter, Gillian Noonan, Old Perlican, Newfoundland; grandchildren: Matthew and Kent Noonan, and Brook (James) and Aaron Alviano; as well as many nieces and nephews. Remains resting at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue. Visitation on Monday, February 18, from 7 - 9 p.m. and on Tuesday, February 19, from 2 - 9 p.m. Funeral service will take place from St. Teresa’s Roman Catholic Parish, Mundy Pond Road, on Wednesday, February 20, 2013 at 9:30 a.m., with interment to follow at the General Protestant Cemetery, Old Topsail Road.
