LACKIE, CHARLES - With sadness, the family of Charles Albert Lackie, husband of the late Ella Mae (Baxter) Lackie, of Baxter’s Corner, NB, announces his passing at the Mill Cove Nursing Home on Sunday, February 17, 2013, at the age of 90. He was born on June 19, 1922, in Upham, NB, the son of the late Orion and Mabel (Baird) Lackie. Charles is survived by his son Brian Lackie and his wife Maxine of Lincoln, NB; daughter in law Louise Lackie of New Maryland, NB; granddaughters Deanne Boudreau, Shelley Craig, Bobbi-Jo Lackie, Charlene Vallance; 11 great grandchildren; brother Harold Lackie of Titusville, NB; several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his son Bruce Lackie; granddaughter Dawn Marie (Lackie) Durepos; brother James Lackie; sisters Lucy Totton and Roberta Jarvis.
He is resting at Reid’s Funeral Home (506-832-5541), 1063 Main Street, Hampton, NB, with visiting on Wednesday from 3 to 5 and 6 to 8 PM. Funeral service, conducted by, Rev. Terrance Chandra, will be held from All Saints Church, Ben Lomond at 11:00 AM, on Thursday, February 21, 2013. Interment will take place in St. Barnabas Cemetery, Barnesville, in the Spring.
