WILLIAMS (CANNON), ELEANOR ELIZABETH – It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of Eleanor Elizabeth Williams which occurred peacefully with her family by her side on Tuesday, February 19th at Bobby’s Hospice. Born September, 1941 in Saint John, NB, she was the daughter of the late Stanley and Mabel Etheldean (Estey) Cannon. Eleanor was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses on May 28, 1955. She was a member of the Carleton Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses. Eleanor worked for the New Brunswick Lung Association as well as Hilton Property Care and Commercial Equipment. Eleanor was predeceased by her loving husband Paul Lewis Williams in 1980. She is survived by son Dean (Tiny) of Saint John; daughters Cynthia Williams (Craig Lockhart) of Browns Flat, NB, Sabrina Knox (Bruce) of Lower Greenwich, NB, Rose Doyle (Bradley) of Smithtown, NB; brothers Benn, Glenn (Diana), Vincent all of Saint John, Robert (Sharon) of Bishop’s Falls, NL; sister Joanne Smith (Larry) of Saint John, seven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Arrangements are under the direction of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424). By family request there will be no visitation. A memorial service will be held at the Kingdom Hall, 67 Magazine Street, Saint John on Saturday, February 23 at 2:00 P.M. In lieu of flowers, donations in Eleanor’s memory may be made to Bobby’s Hospice, Canadian Cancer Society or the charity of donor’s choice.
