JONES, DAVID - 1940 - 2013 - David Jones, 72, passed away at The Moncton Hospital on Monday, February 18, 2013 after a courageous battle with cancer. Born in Moncton, son of the late Arthur and Harriett (Titus) Jones. Dave retired from Lounsbury in 1990 after over 25 years of service. In the early 90's he began his involvement in the United Church of Canada as a Licenced Lay Worship Leader. He will be sadly missed by his wife of 32 years Susanne, two sons and two daughters; Scott (Jacquie) Schonewille, Scott Jones (Sylvie Bourgeois), Jodi (Stephen) Brander, Monica Jones (Mark Colburne) and 10 grandchildren. Also survived by two brothers Robert (Johanne) Jones of Fredericton, Peter (Dorothy) Jones of Woodstock and several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Dave was predeceased by his daughter Leanne Hughes.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 24 from 12:00 to 1:50 pm followed by a memorial service at 2:00 pm in the Chapel of Fair Haven Funeral Home. A reception will follow in the Garden View Reception Room. Memorial donations in Dave's memory may be made to the Mission and Service Funds of United Church of Canada.
