Passed away suddenly at home in River Bourgeois, N.S., on Jan. 25, 2010, at the age of 70, leaving behind his loving wife, Theresa (Sampson).
Born Oct. 17, 1939, to Val and Myrtle (Hill) Kyte.
He is survived by his daughters, Wanda (John) Burke, River Bourgeois, Lydia (Blair) Burke, Dartmouth, and Valerie (Tim) Cunningham, River Bourgeois; sisters, Ann (Al) Nolan, Yarmouth, and Lydia Boyd, Saint John, N.B.; brother, George (Paula) Kyte, Barra Head; grandchildren, Adam and Dale Burke, Tanna Burke, Brenna and Erin Cunningham; three goddaughters, Wendy Abbot, Kim Parsons and Tara Harrison. And many nieces and nephews. Last but not least was his walking buddy, Ringer.
He was predeceased by parents and sister, Mary Kyte.
He was enjoying his retirement after working many years as an instrumentation mechanic.

Cremation has taken place, visitation at the River Bourgeois Funeral Home, Friday, Jan. 29, 2010, from 2-9 p.m. Funeral service at the St. John the Baptist Church in River Bourgeois, Saturday, Jan. 30, 2010, at 2 p.m., followed by a reception at the Tara Lynn Centre.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia or the Canadian Cancer Society.
