The death of William Charles 'Billy' Reid, 57, of Springhill occurred on Thursday, February 14, 2013 at the Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre. Born in Sackville, Billy was a son of the late William and Marjorie (Dixon) Reid.
Billy had worked in the automotive industry for many years. He had loved being at the beach in his younger years.
He will be sadly missed by a son Jason Alderson of Springhill; one brother Jim of Springhill; a sister, Madeline (Gordon) MacDonald of Truro; two grandchildren, Koda and Kylie and several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, Billy was predeceased by a brother Joey.
Arrangements are under the care and supervision of Jones Funeral Home, 70 Bridge Street, Sackville, (506-364-1300). There will be no visitation. A graveside service for Billy will be held at the Sackville Cemetery in the Spring.
The family would like to express a sincere thank you to the staff of the High Crest Nursing Home, Springhill for their kindness and compassion.
