We, the families of the late Diane Marie MacNeil, would like to express our sincere thanks and appreciation to our families, friends and co-workers for their kindness, love and support in our time of deep sorrow. Thank you, to those who sent cards, food, flowers, money (to be donated to Palliative Care in your name), made memorial donations. Thank you to everyone who attended the wake and funeral mass, those who traveled from afar, to Diane’s friends, relatives and colleagues who made her day when they made their visits at home and in the hospital. Thank you Colleen for being there with Diane from the beginning. She enjoyed the breakfasts and God knows what else. Thank you to the readers in church Cathy Urguhart, sister-in-law and Dorothy Langlois, family friend. A special thanks, to Fr. Alex MacLellan for his special prayers for Daine, in the hospital and also for her funeral mass. Thank you Marie MacIntyre, John Murphy, Cassidy and Hannah (Diane’s granddaughters) for being servers at mass. Thank you to the Senior Choir, the C.W.L. of Holy Redeemer Parish. Thank you to the men and women of the VON (she was treated like a queen). Thank you to Sydney River Superstore, North Sydney Superstore, Glace Bay Superstore and NoFrills store for your support and thoughtfulness. Thank you Laurie and Eleanor for your kindness and compassion for (Ron and Diane). To the Doctors: Dr. J. Ritter, Dr. J. Jensen, Dr. L. Orrell, Dr. E. Prinsloo, Dr. R. McGory, Dr. K Khodadad, Dr.R. Bedart, Dr. C. Tobin, Dr.W. Harless, Dr. Anne Francis D’Intino, and Dr. I. Dugas thank you. A special thank you to the staff fo the An Cala Palliative Care Unit-including the Doctors, Nurses, Volunteers and housekeeping staff, your care and compassion shown to Diane and her families will never be forgotten. An Cala means: the harbour in Galic a safe haven and a place of comfort. Thank you to Bill Curry and staff at T.W. Curry Parkview Chapel for their kindness and support.
