Born on January 27, 1924 at Victoria West, daughter of the late Wesley and Serena (Ellis) Smith. Dear mother of Wayne (Linda), Victoria West. Cherished grandmother of Scott (Tracy), Victoria West; Rhonda (Jeff) Gallant, Margate and great-grandchildren Dylan, Caitlin, Emily, Hailey and Cole. Sister-in-law of Kay Smith, St. Stephen, N.B.; Doreen Smith, Ontario; Mary Enman, Victoria West; Edwin MacLennan, Summerside. Also survived by her special caregiver Arlene MacKenzie and numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents, husband Chester, sisters May, Eva and brothers Alton, Alvin and Lyman.

Resting at the Ferguson Tyne Valley Funeral Chapel with visiting hours changed from Friday, to Saturday afternoon 2–5 p.m. Funeral changed to Sunday at the Victoria West United Church at 2 p.m. (please note change in times). Interment in the Peoples Cemetery, Victoria West. Memorials to the Peoples Cemetery or Victoria West United Church would be appreciated.
