We the children of Kay MacAdam wish to express our sincere gratitude to every relative, friend and neighbour who shared their kindness, love and support during our mother's illness and passing.
We extend thanks for all the mass and sympathy cards, charitable donations, flowers, visits and gifts of food. Our very special thanks to Lexie Reid, Ann Hall and Bernice Cameron for their expressions of love to mom; and to Dan MacLennan for helping her live where she was most content, on the mountain.
Her last weeks there were possible thanks to the kind visits from the VON nurses. The care and support from Cape Breton Regional Hospital Palliative Care Unit comforted our mother and allowed us to surround her in love 24/7. The special blessings from Father MacPhee, Father Donavan and Father Earle are deeply appreciated. Chant's Funeral Homes handled the arrangements and we thank the staff for their professional service and personal touch.We thank Father Paul Abbass from St. Barra's parish and Father Joseph MacNeil for celebrating her mass; the choir for performing a selection of hymns significant to our mother; and the Christmas Island Volunteer Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary for hosting the welcomed luncheon to all her family and friends.To everyone who helped mom in any way and to all who called her their favorite and therefore share our grief, may God bless you.
