SCRIBNER, FRANCES - The death of Frances Annette Scribner, age 83, of Nauwigewauk, NB, wife of Leslie Scribner, occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital, Saint John, NB, on Monday, February 25, 2013. She was born in Saint John, NB, on July 30, 1929, the daughter of the late George and Edith (Campbell) Fairbrother. She is survived by her husband of fifty four years, Leslie; son John Reed and his wife Ruth of Nauwigewauk, NB; grandchildren Angus Reed, Scott Reed, Candice Hanna and her husband Aarron; great grandchildren Mackenzie, Sara, Cole; brothers Jim Fairbrother and his wife Barb of BC, Eric Fairbrother and his wife Carro of AB; sisters-in-law Evelyn Harrison, Joan Scribner; brother-in-law Stuart Fraser; several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her son Doug Reed; sister Evelyn Fairbrother; brothers Don, Bill and Eddie.
She is resting at Reid’s Funeral Home (506-832-5541), 1063 Main Street, Hampton, NB, with visiting on Wednesday from 3 to 5 and 6 to 8 PM. Funeral service, conducted by Archdeacon Stuart Allan, will be held from Holy Trinity Anglican Church, Hammond River at 11:00 AM, on Thursday, February 28, 2013. Interment will take place in Holy Trinity Cemetery. Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or to the memorial of the donor’s choice would be appreciated.
