Entered into eternal life at McAuley Convent, January 28, 2010, Sister Mary Madelena Walsh, age 92 years. Predeceased by parents Nicholas and Ellen (Brophy) Walsh of Fermeuse, NL; her sisters and brothers Bridget, Jim, Esther, Lillian, Bert, Patrick, Mary and Ben. Leaving to mourn her Religious Congregation the Sisters of Mercy, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Waking at McAuley Convent, 250 Waterford Bridge Road, St. John’s on Thursday, Jan. 28, 2010, 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. and Friday, Jan. 30, 2010 until 9:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, Jan. 30, 2010, 9:30 a.m. at Corpus Christi Parish Church, Waterford Bridge Road with interment to follow at the Sisters of Mercy plot in Belvedere Cemetery. May she rest in peace.
