Emma Pauline Watson
Watson, Emma Pauline – 84, Brookfield passed away February 24, 2013 in Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro. Born in Truro, she was a daughter of the late Lawrence and Myrtle Daurie. She was a member of Knox United Church, the UCW, the choir and she also taught Sunday School for several years. Emma was a volunteer at Brookfield Elementary School in her earlier years. She enjoyed crocheting and loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren dearly. She is survived by son, Wayne (Elizabeth), Orleans, Ont.; grandchildren, Terri Champagne (Kent), Calgary, Alta., Blair (Tasha), Morinville, Alta., Brian (Emily), Ottawa, Ont., great-grandchildren, Spencer and Keiran. She was predeceased by her husband, Maurice; brothers, Lawrence and Percy Daurie; sister, Doris Renowden. The family would like to extend a heart-felt thank-you to Dr. Rowe, Nurses & staff on E3 of The Colchester East Hants Health Centre for their kindness, loving care and professionalism shown toward my mother, during her stay in the hospital. A memorial service will be held on Friday, March 1 at 2:00 pm in Knox United Church, Brookfield with Rev. Larry Harrison officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia. Arrangements are under the direction of Colchester Community Funeral Home, Truro.
