It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our dear Mother and Grandmother on February 28, 2013, aged 88.

Born in Portsmouth, UK, Joan met the love of her life Jim, when his Canadian army regiment was stationed close to her village. Married in 1946, Jim and Joan settled to raise their family in North Vancouver. Retirement saw them relocate to Loon Lake, B.C. where they enjoyed many happy years with family and friends.

Joan was predeceased by Jim in 2007 and leaves to mourn her two daughters, Donna Rennie (John) of Nanoose Bay, B.C. and Janet Harman (Barry) of Kamloops and Loon Lake, B.C. Also survived by her three granddaughters Erin Rennie of Burnaby, B.C., Sarah Challenger (Andrew) of Kamloops, B.C. and Kate Harman (Phil) of North Vancouver, B.C. Joan would have become a great-grandma in June.

The family wishes to thank all of the staff at Pine Grove for their loving care and concern for Joan during her stay.

A family Celebration of Life will be held at the lake at a future date.
