Egypt Road - Mary Lou Bennett, age 57, of Egypt Road, passed away Friday, March 1, 2013 in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow. Born in New Glasgow, she was a daughter of the late James Thomas and Gladys Marion (Baglole) Caldwell. She was an employee of Convergys and a former employee of I.C.T., Needs and a former caretaker at First United Church. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends and was an avid reader. She is survived by a son: Jarrad (Leslie), Mount Pearl, NL; daughter: Lilla, Egypt Road; grandchildren: Brandon, Machela, Jorja and Alice; brothers: Grant (Anne); Thomas (Shirley); William (Kathy), all of New Glasgow; nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Donald Joseph Bennett. Visitation 2-4 and 7-9 pm Tuesday in the R.H. Porter Funeral Home, New Glasgow from where funeral service will be held at 11 am Wednesday with Mr. Fergie MacKay officiating. Burial will be in Hillside Cemetery at a later date.
