MOREHOUSE, DARRELL PRESTON - It is with sadness that the family announces the passing of Darrell P. Morehouse of Zealand, NB on March 3, 2013 at Shannex - Thomas Hall. Born at Zealand, NB in 1931, he was a son of the late Percy and Olive (Hanson) Morehouse. Darrell was a woodsworker and employed for several years at H.S. Gill and Sons, Bemrose & Kilburn and also as a teamster at Kings Landing. He is survived by four step-daughters, Dora Flemming (Ward), Fredericton, NB, Mattie Brewer (Bruce), Linda Crouse (Gary) and Beth Morehouse (Eldred), all of Zealand, NB; two step-sons, Eric Brewer (Sharon) and Albin Brewer, both of Zealand, NB; six step-grandchildren; six step-great grandchildren; four brothers, Eldon Morehouse, Vernon Morehouse (Doreen), Laurel Morehouse and Oscar Morehouse (Marie), all of Zealand, NB; two sisters, Phyllis Morehouse (Donald) and Shirley Morehouse (Stanley), both of Zealand, NB; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife Trena Marie (Morehouse) Morehouse; two brothers, Weldon Morehouse and Percy Morehouse Jr.
Visiting hours will be held at Stone Ridge Pentecostal Church, 129 Upper Stone Ridge Road, Zealand, NB on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, March 6, 2013 at 2 p.m. from the church with Rev. Watson Williams and Terrance Brewer officiating. Interment will be at St. Paul’s Anglican Cemetery at a later date.
