COATES, James Wesley – November 29, 1972 - January 12, 2010, Deer Lake, NL. It is with great sadness that the family of the late James Wesley Coates announce his sudden passing on Tuesday, January 12th, 2010, at the age of 37 years. He was the son of Lillian Coates-Dinney and the late Sergeant Truman Ward Coates. Leaving to mourn are his mother Lillian; his sisters: Novalee Coates (Darryl Drover), Lorrieann Coates (Jerry Saulter) and Shelley Coates (Mike Singh); his grandmother Mrs. Gladys Coates MacWilliam; his nieces and nephews: Justin Drover, Hannah Drover, Carley Saulter, Allie Saulter, Daniel Saulter (Godson), Elliott Singh and Rachel Singh and his former wife Annie Vignola. James was predeceased by his daughter Nature Coates, stepfathers Carl Hussey and Roland Dinney, grandmother Alice Hancock Legge, his grandfathers Truman Coates and Edgar Legge. Also leaving to mourn his special friends: Thanawat Amnajanan, John Nyssen, Margaret Walsh, Wende Tulk, Donna Perry Totino, Sharon Pearce, Jean Melita Russell, Hoang Ngoc Huy and Jerome La Porte. Also other relatives, family and friends. The family will be receiving family and friends from the hours of 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. on Monday, February 1st, 2010 from Parsons Funeral Home and Chapel, 63 North Main Street, Deer Lake, NL. The Memorial service will take place on Tuesday, February 2nd, 2010 at 2 p.m. from St. Michael’s and All Angels Anglican Church, Deer Lake, NL with the Canon John Meade officiating, with the burial to follow at the family plot of the church cemetery, Wights Road, Deer Lake, NL. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Haiti Relief Fund in James’ memory and would be greatly appreciated by the family.
