It is with great sadness the family of the late David Stone announces his passing on Wednesday, February 27 after a tragic accident on Tuesday, February 26, at the age of 13 years. David was predeceased by his grandparents Samuel Northcott, Max and Caroline Stone and his uncle Glen Northcott. Leaving to mourn with many fond and precious memories of a wonderful son, grandson, nephew, cousin, and friend are his loving parents: Michael and Wanda (nee Northcott) Stone; grandmother Susanna Northcott; aunts and uncles: Blair (Clare) Northcott Saint John NB, Keith (Trina) Northcott Blackfalds AB, Brent (Sheri) Northcott Whitecourt AB, Edwin (Krista) Northcott St. John's, NL, Phyllis (Reg) Carroll Margaree, Roberta (Israel) Strickland, Alfreda (Douglas) Walters all of Fox Roost, Maxine (David) Payne Paradise NL, Ivan (Virginia) Stone Fox Roost, Wayne (Wanda) Stone, Derick (Cathy) Stone all of Margaree, special cousins Shannon and Cecilia and a large circle of cousins, extended family and many, many friends. David had many passions in life, he loved hockey, spending time with his friends, making people laugh with his many jokes and pranks, hiking at Gros Morne Park with his Mom and Dad every summer, and hunting and trapping with his Dad just to name a few. He loved to build things and aspired to be an engineer because he took great pride when others could figure out how the things that he built worked. His greatest passion in life though was the love that he had for his family. David never let a day go by without telling his Mom and Dad, “ I love you” even if it was said a thousand times he meant it just the same each and every time, his expressions of love and affection were very strong and will remain in the hearts of his parents, family and friends forever. A special thank you to everyone who has helped the family at this most difficult time especially Dr. Brake, Dr. Price, Dr. Graham, Dr. Blecher, nurses of the Emergency Departments at Dr. Charles L. LeGrow Health Centre and the Janeway, also to all of the clergy who have given the family so much support. Visitation took place on Friday and Saturday at St. Augustine's Anglican Church in Margaree. Funeral services took place on Sunday, March 3, 2 p.m. at St. Augustine's Anglican Church, officiated by Rev. Maryrose Colbourne. Interment followed at St. Augustine's Anglican Cemetery.
