Words can not express how saddened we are to announce the sudden passing of our brother and son George Gerard, on Friday, Jan. 29, 2010, in Hailfax.
Born and raised in Sydney, George was the son of Blanche Gerard and the late Maurice Gerard of Sydney.
George ran his own business in Halifax as a computer tech. Evenings would find him helping out and delivering pizza for Euro pizza. George enjoyed meeting people and always has a smile for everyone. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him.
Besides his mother, George is survived by his companion and best friend, Angela Nicoletopoulos; sisters, Marilyn Hayes, Sydney, Pauline (Donnie) Holmes, Waverley; brothers, Bob (Angela), Lower Sackville, Gary (Marcella), Beaver Bank. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Special thanks to Nick Giannopoulos for being like family to George.
Cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation. A private family service will be held Wednesday, Feb. 3 at 2 p.m. at Sydney Memorial Chapel.
