It is with great sadness that the family of the late George L. Dennis announce his passing at the Interfaith Home, Corner Brook on Saturday January 30, 2010 at the age of 80 years. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his sons; Maxwell (Weneta) and Thomas (Frances, daughter Sherri-Lynn Dennis, grandchildren; Amanda, Adam, Sharon, and Shelley, great grandchildren; Paige, Brody, Gillian and Ciara, sisters; Maise Tarbett, Gertrude Brake, Betty Green and brother Bernard Dennis. He is predeceased by his wife Marjorie (February 2007), brothers; Roy, Frank, Derrick and Bruce, sisters; Patricia and Ada. Visitation will take place at Country Haven Funeral Home 167 Country Road on Sunday January 31, 2010 from 7-9 p.m., Monday February 1, 2010 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will take place on Tuesday February 2, 2010 at 2 p.m. at Country Haven Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Nellie Thomas officiating. Interment to follow at Mount Patricia Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy flowers are graciously accepted or memorial donations may be made to the Cancer Society.
