Andrew Marc Earl Edwards
It is with broken hearts that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved son and brother Andrew. He is now safe in the hands of his Lord and Saviour.
Andrew graduated from Sydney Academy last June, 2012. He was a part-time employee of Sobeys, Prince Street, and also worked the past four summers as a counsellor/maintenance supervisor at the various camps put on at Cape Breton Bible Camp at New Campbellton. All who knew Andrew were impressed with his sincerety, his friendliness his many questions during Bible discussions etc. He was blessed with many friends too numerous to mention here. Some very close friends and mentors who impacted his life greatly were Eric (Mary) White, Rick (Danielle) Carabin and especially his friend, teacher, sounding board etc. Krista Kokocki.
Andrew is survived by his parents, Brian and Debbie (Head) Edwards; his brothers, Jeremy, Halifax, Chad, Sydney, and a special nephew, Caiden, Halifax, and his mother Kayla (Macneil) whom he loved very much. Special mention and thank you to Aunt Earlene who was close to Andrew his whole life. He is also survived by his grandmother, Edith Edwards and many aunts and uncles and cousins.
He was predeceased by his grandparents, Earl and Louise Head, and his grandfather, George Edwards.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Cape Breton Bible Camp or to the missions which we at Faith Baptist Church support. Andrew was a member of Faith and also sat on the committee which monitored our missionaries. This was an important part of his life.
Cremation has taken place. A visitation will be at the S.W. Chant & Son Funeral Home, 564 Alexandra St., Sydney on Sunday, March 10 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral will be held at Faith Baptist Church, Davenport Road, Sydney, on Monday, March 11 at 11 a.m.
Andrew will be greatly missed but he hopes to see you all on Ressurection Day.
