McCALLUM, ELDON "JOE" FREDERICK - January 9, 1925 - March 10, 2013 - Eldon "Joe" McCallum of Woodstock passed away on March 10, 2013 at the Upper River Valley Hospital at the age of 88. Born at Woodstock, NB on January 9, 1925. Son of the late Edwin and Reba (MacFarlene) McCallum. Survived by his wife Evelyn (Wrather) McCallum, his children Constance Mathewson of Riverview, NB and her children Bryan, Trevor (Christa); Barbara Thornton (Terrance) of Rusagonis, NB and their children Matthew (Amy), Timothy (Amy), Gregory (Bridget) and Sarah Paul; Gwen Rideout (Lonzo) of Newbridge, NB and their children Melinda Smart (James), Tracey Shaw (Troy), Lonzo Rideout (Armando); Thomas McCallum of Woodstock, NB and Mark McCallum (Cindy) of Arvada, Col. and their children Kathryn and Lauren; seventeen great grandchildren; also survived by a brother Wayne McCallum (Shirley); nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother Carl McCallum and sister Joyce Christie and a great-grandson.
With respect to the family’s wishes, there will be no visitation at the funeral home. Funeral services to be held on Tuesday, March 12, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. from St. Luke’s Anglican Church. Rev. Shirley Noseworthy officiating. Interment to follow at Christ Church Cemetery in the spring. If so desired, donations may be made to the IWK, St. John’s Ambulance or the World Vision.
