HILLSIDE – Lewis Robert James Fraser, age 67, of Hillside, passed away Monday, March 11, 2013 in the QEII New Infirmary, Halifax.
Born in New Glasgow, he was a son the late Alva and Leata (Grover) Fraser.
He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed animals, spending time with family, taking drives, walking through the woods, watching television, doing puzzles and delivering mail to neighbours.
He is survived by brothers: Barry, Albert and Donald, all of Hillside; Joseph (Velvet), Trenton; Ian, Little Harbour; sisters, Geneva, Trenton; Evelyne, Little Harbour; foster sister Anne MacLean, Little Harbour; numerous nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by a brother Aubrey and a sister Brenda Fraser.
Cremation has taken place. Visitation 6-9 p.m. Wednesday in the R.H. Porter Funeral Home, New Glasgow, from where funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday with Mr. Fergie MacKay officiating. Burial will be in Hillside Cemetery at a later date.
Donations in his memory may be made to the Canadian Diabetic Association or S.P.C.A.
