Mombourquette, Nancy Cordelia, 67, of Truro, passed away Saturday, March 9, 2013 in the Colchester East Hants Health Centre Truro. Born in Bedford, she was a daughter of the late G. Victor and Ella (Attwell) Cooke. Nancy was a graduate of Mount Saint Vincent University with her Bachelor of Arts. She was a real estate agent for a number of years. She was a member of Saint Andrew’s United Church Truro and the Ladies Auxiliary of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch # 26 Truro. Nancy is survived by her husband Thomas “Tom”; son, Alvin Robert Reid, BC; daughters, Pamela Rediker, Moncton NB; Melanie Reid (Michael MacEachern), Glencoe ON; step-sons, Thomas Arthur (Tracey), Bowmanville ON; Daniel Allan (Lydia), Kingston NS; brother, Gregory Cooke, Deer Lake NL; sisters, Sharon Manuel (Paul), Abbotsford BC; Jocelyn MacDonald (Allan), Enfield; Iris Cooke-Chislette (Steven), BC; grandchildren, Alex, Jonathan, Sophia, Robbie, Emmett, Jack, Claire. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Mattatall ~ Varner Funeral Home, 55 Young Street Truro. No visitation by request. The Ladies Auxiliary will conduct a tribute service in Nancy’s memory 2pm Friday, March 15, followed by funeral service all in Saint Andrew’s United Church, 55 King Street Truro, Rev. Jay Ettinger officiating with a reception to follow in the church hall. In lieu of flowers donations in Nancy’s memory may be made to the S.P.C.A.
