HORSMAN, ALLEN C. - Allen C. Horsman, 91, of Moncton, passed away peacefully at The Moncton Hospital on Tuesday morning, March 12, 2013. Born in Moncton, he was the son of the late Clive and Hazel Horsman. Allen was retired from Simpson’s Ltd. in Toronto and a former employee of The Moncton Legion. He was a Veteran of WWII, having served with the Canadian Army in Belgium, Italy, Holland and France. Allen was badly burned in Sicily, Italy and spent several weeks in hospital in North Africa recovering from his burns. He joined the Anglican Church in Rome, Italy in 1944 and was a longtime member of Moncton Legion Branch #6. Allen will be sadly missed by his partner, Roger Prosser; daughters, Donna Bouche of Minto and Cheryl Harrison of England; sister, Gladys Sutherland of Guelph, ON; several grandchildren and great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Allen was predeceased by his wife, Ivy Horsman.
Resting at Ferguson Knowles Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995), with no visiting hours or funeral service by personal request. Interment, Horsman Cemetery.
