Proud of his own children, Winston would say his greatest gift was that of his ten grandchildren. His smile was never brighter than when speaking of the accomplishments and talents of his grandchildren. In 2003 Winston and Emily retired to Russell, Ontario where they joined Redeemer Alliance Church in Orleans. Wince was a tireless volunteer for various community projects and took great pride in helping others on his own and through the Church. He founded strong bonds and relationships with many in the congregation and community.
