Norman ‘Mac’ McLeod, 87, Port Hawkesbury, died Monday, Feb. 1, 2010, in Strait Richmond Hospital, Evanston.
Mac was born March 2, 1922, in Toronto, Ont. He was a son of the late Norman and Jean (McLeod).
Prior to his retirement, Mac worked as a telecommunication operator at the Sydney Airport and was a radio operator with the Canadian Airforce, a veteran of the Second World War. Mac was happy spending his days planting tomatoes and working in his woodshop. He was a friend to everyone who knew him and he will be missed by us all.
He is survived by his wife, Ruth MacLean and his daughter, Nancy Perrett, Calgary, Alta.
Besides his parents, Mac was predeceased by his daughter, Marilyn Way in 1999 and his second wife, Clara Neil.
As Mac has requested there will be no visitation or service. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home, Port Hawkesbury.
