It is with great sadness that the family of the late Mildred C. Spearns, of Little St. Lawrence, NL, announces her passing at The Burin Peninsula Health Care Centre in Burin, NL on Sunday, March 10, 2013 at the age of 81. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are Husband Jerome of 64 years; Sons Eugene (Charlene) of Hamilton, ON, Jerome (Lisa Donovan) of Surrey, BC, Guy (Cora) of Victoria, BC, and Bob (Kelli) of Burin; Daughters Evelina Dunlap of Halifax, NS, Martha (Cornelius) Lucas of Stephenville Crossing, Angela (Gordon) Train of Saint John, NB, Shirley (Gary) Penney of Corner Brook, Marilyn (Doug) Pincock of Halifax, NS, Eileen (John) Norman of St. Lawrence, Mildred Spearns of Halifax, NS, and Kim Spearns (Rob Willis) of Timberlea, NS; 23 Grandchildren; 16 Great-grandchildren; 1 Great-grandchild; plus a large circle of family and friends. Pre-deceased by Parents John & Mary Susan Lundrigan, Daughter Geraldine Slaney, 2 Sisters and 4 Brothers.

The Mass of Christian Burial took place at St. Thomas Aquinas Roman Catholic Church in St. Lawrence on Tuesday, March 12, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. Interment followed at Mount Cecilia Roman Catholic Cemetery in St. Lawrence. In lieu of flowers donations in Mildred’s memory may be made to The Heart & Stroke Foundation.
