CORMIER, FRANCES MARY – Frances Cormier, devoted wife of Joseph Cormier, passed away peacefully at the Saint John Regional Hospital on March 13, 2013. Born July 3, 1924 in Caraquet, NB, she was the daughter of the late Cesaire R. Gionet and Delima Lanteigne. Frances was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children Raymond Cormier (April) of New Orleans, LA, Gary Cormier (Louise Bedard), Doris O’Neill (Gerry), Gloria Boyd (Gary McAdam) and Andrea Baxter (Kevin) all of Saint John; brother Dolor Gionet (May) of Saint John; beloved grandchildren Joseph, Terry, Michael, Jennifer, Bradley and Colin; step-grandchildren Eric, Melanie, Randy; great-grandchildren Julianna, Luc, Lexie, Ronan; many nieces, nephews and friends. Besides her parents she was predeceased by brothers Omar, Albert, Pat, Dick, Eddy, Denis and Medor Gionet and sisters Lauza Peters and Rita Gionet.
Resting at Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424) with visitation being held on Saturday, March 16 and Sunday, March 17 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 P.M. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held from Stella Maris Catholic Church on Monday, March 18 at 12 Noon followed by an interment at St. Joseph’s Cemetery.
