We, the family of the late George "Porgy" MacDougall would like to thank all our family and friends for their love and support when we lost our Porgy. To all who attended the wake and funeral, visited our homes, sent flowers, wreaths,food, sympathy cards, mass cards and charitable donations, we thank you for your thoughtfulness and generosity. Thank you, also, to all those who traveled from out of town to be with us. Thank you to the Ashby Legion Branch 138 for their touching ceremony. Thanks to the organist and choir for their beautiful renditions. Thank you to the dear grandchildren who were pallbearers -- many a time he carried them. To the readers, grandchildren, Lee Ann and Ross, and sister, Clara, he would have been proud. To the staff of 4C at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital and the sitters, Julie, Millie and Evelyn, thank you for going the extra mile. Thank you to Doctors Nicholson, Maharaj, Wong and Kozell for your dedication during his long illness. To Fatherf MacDow and Father MacPhee, thank you for the beautiful funeral mass. Special thanks to Father MacPhee for his daily visits; they were much appreciated. Thanks to Erin, Pam, Erma and Tanya who did a wonderful job at the reception. To the staff of T.W. Curry Funeral Home, thank you for your professionalism during our difficult time.
