Donald "Don" MacLean

MacLEAN, DONALD “DON” - Donald “Don” MacLean, 77, of Moncton, with his loving wife at his side, passed away peacefully at his residence on Friday morning, March 15, 2013. Born in New Glasgow, NS, he was the son of the late Thomas and Ethel (Crosby) MacLean. Don was a retired commercial painter and a former member of the Princess Louise 8th Hussars Canadian Army, with 11 years service. He attended Lutes Mountain Church of the Nazarene and Truth Tabernacle, Moncton. Don was an avid fisherman, enjoyed vegetable gardening and time with his friends and family. Don will be sadly missed by his loving wife, Valerie (Sellick) MacLean; daughters, Donalda, Joan and Susan; sisters, Alice Kozmenski (George) and Shirley Lyle (Wayne); brothers, Thomas, James and Robert; several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by an infant daughter, Barbara Ellen; brothers, John and David; one sister, Diane. A heartfelt thanks to our family and friends for your prayers and support during Don’s illness. A special thank you to Carl Trites, the Nursing Staff of the 6th floor of The Moncton Hospital, Dr. Phelan and Extra Mural Nursing for the love and care shown to Don during his illness. Visitation at Ferguson Knowles Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995) on Sunday from 6:00 to 9:00 pm. Funeral Service at Ferguson Knowles Funeral Home Chapel on Monday, March 18, 2013 at 1:30 pm, with Rev. Walter Wilcox officiating.
