Lottie (nee Jay) Inness
Born: September 15th, 1921
Born September 15, 1921, at Mount Stewart, P.E.I., died quietly at Queen Elizabeth Hospital June 22, 2008. Moved to Montreal, Que., in 1941, worked for several years as a fuse inspector at the Northern Electric Company Munitions Plant. While there, she met her husband Roderick H. Inness of Queens County, N.S. They married August 5, 1944, while Rod still served in the RCAF. After the war they took up residence on P.E.I.; living at Mount Stewart, Bunbury Village and Charlottetown, until time of her passing. Leaves to mourn, husband, Roderick of Charlottetown; sons, Raymond (Evangeline) of Charlottetown; Norman (April) and grandsons, Ryan and Darcy of Powell River, B.C.; sister, Doris (Jay) Dowd of Lachine, Que.; sister-in-law, Beth (Geldert) Jay of Mount Stewart, P.E.I.; also many nieces, nephews and friends, especially those who cared for her so well at The MacMillan Lodge. She was predeceased by her parents, Roy Jay and Ethel Jay (nee MacMillan). Private funeral service at St. Peters Cathedral and interment of cremains in Sherwood Cemetery at a later date.
