Elizabeth Anslow
ANSLOW, ELIZABETH MARGARET - It is with great sadness that the family of Elizabeth Anslow announce her passing on March 17, 2013 at the Dr Everett Chalmers Hospital. Born on April 17, 1944 in Miramichi, NB, she was the loving wife of Ian Anslow. In addition to her husband, Elizabeth is survived by her children; Heather Anslow of Dubai, UAE, Stacy Pierce (Joel) of Bloomfield, NB and Robert Anslow (Carrie) of Saskatoon, SK, her “little sister” Darian Anslow of Toronto; her siblings Barbara J. MacFarlane of Rothesay, NB and Blair MacFarlane (Gaynor) of Prince Albert, SK; fourteen grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, cousins and her very special friend Pat Spadoni. Elizabeth was predeceased by her parents. Elizabeth was retired from the Registrar’s Office at UNB and had previously been employed with Hogan’s Jewel and various other local businesses in Fredericton. She will be deeply missed by her very good friends in the Craft Group and will be remembered for her longtime involvement as a dedicated Brownie Leader with the Girl Guides of Canada. Elizabeth cherished the time she spent with her beautiful grandchildren and could be found curled up in an armchair reading with four or five of them. She was a tremendously giving person who always put the needs of others ahead of her own. She loved spending her summers walking the sandbars at the cottage, in Argyle Shore, PEI, with her family. Elizabeth was a very active person and her family always found it very hard to keep up with her. The family would like to offer their gratitude to the staff of Extra-Mural Health, Greg and Tracey on 3E at the DECH and Drs Burnell and Gowan.
There will be no visitation or service by request. For those who wish, donations in memory of Elizabeth may be made to the charity she was most passionate about, the Fredericton SPCA. McAdam’s Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements. www.mcadamsfh.com
