BOURQUE, GÉRARD - Gérard Bourque, 88, of Hillsborough and formerly of Moncton, passed away on Sunday, March 17, 2013 at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Centre. Born on January 31, 1925 in College Bridge, NB, he was the son of the late Hypolite and Roseanna (Donnelle) Bourque. Prior to his retirement in 1985, he was a custodian at the Moncton Hospital. He was a member of the Humphrey Golden Age Club. He is survived by nine children: Thérèse Belliveau of Irishtown, Roseanna LeBlanc (Ronald), Katherine Maillet, Jean-Paul (Valérie) and Helen Bourque, all of Moncton; Lorraine Milco (Danny) of Penobsquis, Lucy Poulin (Joe) of Vernon, BC, Gérard (Louise Blais) of Fort McMurray, AB and Lisa Greene (Daren) of Petawawa, ON; two brothers: Aldor of Toronto, ON and Oswald of Maine, USA, 18 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren and his special companion friend Cecelia Doucett. He was predeceased by his wife, Alice (2003); three sisters: Lucie, Corinne and Elizée; three brothers: Léo, Dollard, Paul and Valerie.
By request, there will be no visitation at the funeral home. The funeral mass will be celebrated at Notre-Dame-de-la-Paix R.C. Church, 87 Murphy Avenue, Moncton on Wednesday, March 20, 2013 at 10 a.m. Interment will be in Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery, Dieppe.
