Mary Campbell
Mary Frances Campbell, wife of the late Herbert C. Campbell, passed away at Spencer Home, Moncton, N.B. Mary, a daughter of the late Albert Almon and Josephine Townsend, was born at Glace Bay, N.S. Both Mary and Herb attended the School For The Deaf at Halifax, N.S., and later worked for the federal government at Hull, P.Q. Mary and Herb married in 1950 and resided in Aylmer, P.Q., before relocating to Riverview, N.B., in 1989. Herb passed away in 2000. They were members of St. Augustine Church, Moncton, N.B. Mary is survived by a brother, Joseph Almon, and a sister, Annie MacNeil, both of Glace Bay, N.S., as well as several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Mary was predeceased by siblings Patrick Almon, Toronto, Ont.. and Cleophas (Cleo) Leger, Montreal, P.Q. A committal service with interment next to her late husband will be held at St Mary’s Cemetery, Souris, P.E.I., on June 26, 2008, at 11 a.m. under the direction of the Dingwell Funeral Home with Fr. Floyd Gallant officiating.
