MacNAUGHTON, F. LILLIAN - 1918 - 2013 - Miramichi - Frances Lillian MacNaughton, widow of the late Alexander MacNaughton of the Mount St. Joseph Nursing Home and formerly of Miramichi and Black River Bridge, passed away at her residence on Tuesday afternoon, March 19, 2013, at the age of 94. Born in Chatham, on December 25, 1918, she was the daughter of the late John and Mary (Cady) Crowe. She was a homemaker and a member of St. Andrews United Church, Miramichi and former member of St. Stephen’s United Church, Black River Bridge; a former member of the Pioneer Senior Citizens Club, Miramichi, as well as the Twilight Gems Senior Citizens Club, Miramichi. She is survived by one daughter, Barbara Wells, of Miramichi; one son, George MacNaughton, of Bathurst; four grandchildren, Tammy Woods (Greg), of Miramichi, Sheldon McKnight (Angela), of Napan, Kevin MacNaughton, of Moncton, Natasha MacNaughton, of Bathurst; eight great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her first husband, James Ross as well as her second husband, Alexander MacNaughton; one son, John D. Ross; two sisters, Doris Robichaud and Mary L. Jarvis.
By request, there will be no visitation or public funeral service. A private family graveside service will be held later in the spring in the Black River Community Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Black River Community Cemetery Fund, or any charity of the donors’ choice would be appreciated by the family.
