Passed suddenly away at his home in Winterton on Thursday, March 6, John Pike, age 84 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories his wife of 61 years Marguerite; two sons: Kenneth (Kelly), Paradise, Laurie, Whiterock, B.C.; one daughter, Linda Field (David), Mission, B.C.; three grandchildren: Haley, Jamie and Laurie; two great-grandchildren: Kyler and Paige; sister Lily Adams (Sidney), Clarenville; sister-in-law Rowena Reid, Winterton; also a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Cremation has taken place. The family will be receiving visitors and friends at Green's Funeral Home, Winterton, on Monday, March 10, from 2:00 - 5:00 and 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. and Tuesday 10:00 - 12:00 a.m. Funeral service to take place on Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. from the Salvation Army Citadel, Winterton. Inurnment to follow in the Salvation Army Cemetery, Winterton. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Salvation Army Building Fund, Winterton.
