It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved father, who passed peacefully away in the presence of his loving family on Friday the 22nd day of March 2013 at the age of 81 at the Health Sciences Centre. He is predeceased by his loving wife of 47 years, Millie (nee Williams) 2004; his parents John and Mary Carey; his parents-in-law, Raymond and Molly Williams; his best friend, Patrick Cahill and other members of the Carey and Williams families. Leaving to mourn with treasured memories are his daughters: Mary (Tom Murphy); Shirley (Weldon Boone); sons: Raymond (Lolletta Carey) and Jamie (Wanda Carey). His grandchildren: Aiden, Melanie, Johnathan, Kayla, Ashley, Stephanie, Brandon, Joshua, Katrina, Thomas and Anita (Jackson and Chase), and Ryan. And his very special great-granddaughter Amelia and her mom Kassie. His life-long friend, Maureen Walsh, friends, Janie Dunphy, Jerome Carey and his first cousin, Mary Theresa O’Brien, his godchildren, Lawrence Carey and Karen Ryan, and a very large contingent of friends, neighbours and past co-workers. Our dad will be missed and best remembered for the amazing,caring, loving father, grandfather and friend that he was and as a kind, gentle soul who loved his family fiercely. Resting at Ryan’s Funeral Home, Bay Bulls on Saturday, March 23rd from 2-9 p.m., on Sunday, March 24th from 2-9 p.m. Mass of the Christian Burial to take place at St. Patrick’s Roman Catholic Church, Witless Bay on Monday, March 25th at 10:30 a.m. Interment to follow at Holy Cross Roman Catholic Cemetery, Witless Bay. Flowers gratefully accepted (as he loved them) or donations may be made to the Dr. H. Bliss Murphy Cancer Centre.
