The death occurred suddenly at his late residence in Morell, P.E.I., on
Friday, March 22, 2013, of Sonny Gany, formerly of St. Peters Bay, aged
78, beloved husband of Wilma (nee Larter).
Loving father of Cindy (Ric) Falden, Ontario; Jo-Anne (Jerry) MacKinnon, St. Peters Bay; Leslie Gany, Charlottetown; Brenda (Freddy) Frizzell, Clyde River; and Linda Gany (Joe), Oyster Bed Bridge; and loving grandfather of 13 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Also survived by sisters, Marilyn Gany, Inverness, Cape Breton; Josie Wale (Don, deceased), Aurora, Ontario; Renee (Jim) Ptashnik, Mississauga, Ontario; and Flora (Gerry) Martel, Brampton, Ontario; sisters-in-law, Helen (Lorne) Sherry, Michigan, USA; Lorraine (Hugh) McCormack, Mississauga, Ontario; and brother-in-law, Maurice (Doreen) Larter, Vancouver, B.C.
Predeceased by his parents, Joseph and Alfreda Gany, New Waterford, Cape Breton; mother-in-law, Irene Fowler, Charlottetown; and two sisters-in-law.
No visitation by personal request. Cremation will take place and a private family service will be held at a later date.
If desired, donations in Sonny's memory may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the North Shore Funeral Home, Morell.
