- It saddens our family to announce the sudden passing of Melita Jane Carberry aged 84 years of St. John’s and Milton at the Dr. G. B. Cross Memorial Hospital, Clarenville on Saturday March 23, 2013. Predeceased by her husband Austin, son-in-law Lindsay. Left to mourn her passing are her children Hilda Balsom (Robert), Diane, Brenda Reid (Ron). A legacy of love and memories are left to grandchildren; Darlene, Robert (Tina), Brian, Lisa (Darren),James, Andrea (Geoff) & Jillian (Jelly bean) (Stephen); great grandchildren Christopher, Brittney, Bradley, Bailey, & Carter. She will be sadly missed by brother Dan Seaward (Betty). Sister-in-laws; Hilda Carberry & Eliza Seaward. Melita will be greatly missed by a large circle of family and friends and by all who had the privilege to know her. Rested at Fewer’s Funeral Home, Clarenville. Funeral service was held on Tuesday, March 26, 2013 from St. Mary’s Anglican Church, Clarenville with cremation to follow. Donations in her memory may be made to charity of one’s choice.
