It is with great sadness and sorrow that we announce the passing of Malcolm MacCormack Sr., 87, at Northside General Hospital on Monday, March 25, 2013.
Born in Upper Leitches Creek, he was the son of the late Daniel and Mary (Lily) MacCormack.
Malcom is survived by his children, Marlene (Cyril) MacDonald, Noella (Wayne) Joyce, Sharon (Steve) Touchie, Bonnie MacCormack, Lloyd (Kathleen) MacCormack, Nancy (Chris) Keating and Malcolm MacCormack Jr.; 17 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. His sisters, Lillian Finney and Mary Margaret MacCormack.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Anne (O’Toole), son, Kevin and three sons in infancy. Also predeceased by his brothers, Kie, Angus and John and sisters, Maggie, Mary Ellen, Katie, Millie, Hilda and Josie as well as several nieces and nephews.
Cremation has taken place. A visitation will be held at Chant’s Funeral Home, Alexandra Street, Sydney, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m., Wednesday, March 27. A mass will take place on Thursday at 11 a.m. at St. Mary’s parish, Frenchvale. Fr. Paul Abbass will officiate.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Malcolm’s memory may be made to a charity of your choice.
