COFFIN, Daphne Marie (nee Mayo) – Passed peacefully away at her residence on Wednesday, February 3, 2010, after a courageous battle with cancer, Daphne Marie Coffin (nee Mayo) age 65 years. Predeceased by her parents George Fred & Emily Mayo of Burin; her husband Cyril; brothers Larry & Fred; sisters Doris Bussey (Louis, deceased), Sheila Bradbury and Marguerite Shave. Left to mourn with many cherished memories, husband Gerry Tulk; sons Blair and Oran (Kristina) and her much loved grandchildren, Curtis and Sophie; brother Gordon (Ruby); brothers-in-law David Coffin (Lettice), George Bradbury (Barbara) and Gerald Shave (Beth); sisters-in-law Maxine Mayo and Shirley Coffin; Gerry’s family, daughters Yvette, Collette and Manette and their families. Also left to mourn many nieces and nephews, as well as a large circle of other relatives and friends. Special thanks to Dr. K. Laing and Dr. Katie Saunders, Doctors and Nurses and all staff of 4 North A, Health Sciences, The Dr. H. Bliss Murphy Cancer Care Centre and Basket of Services End of Life Palliative Care Program. Resting at Carnell’s Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road with visitation on Friday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Funeral service to take place on Saturday, February 6, 2010 at 2 p.m. from St. Mark’s Anglican Church, Logy Bay Road. DEERING, Mrs. Ethel (January 11, 1915- February 4, 2010) — Passed peacefully away at Carbonear Hospital on Thursday, February 4, 2010, Mrs. Ethel Deering, age 95 years, of Shearstown. Predeceased by her parents: Eleazer and Sarah Jane Barrett; husband Thomas George Deering; daughter Christine Mercer; son Herbert; sisters: Irene (James) Hunt, Theresa Barrett; brothers: Abraham Barrett and Herbert (Gladys) Barrett; son-in-law Irving Snow. Leaving to mourn: one son Wallace (Rosalind) Deering; two daughters Phyllis Deering, Jane Snow; 15 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; son-in-law Joseph Mercer and a large circle of other relatives and friends. Resting at Moore’s Funeral Home Bay Roberts. Visitation Friday 7-9 p.m.; Saturday 10 a.m.-12 noon; 2-5 p.m., 7-9 p.m.; Sunday 10 a.m. to 12 noon.
