We, the family of the late Ada McCarthy would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to our family and friends for your kind expressions of sympathy and support during this difficult time in our lives. Thank you for the visits to our homes, gifts of food, donated memorials, sympathy cards, flowers, monetary gifts, phone calls, on-line condolences and prayers. For those who spent time with us at the funeral home, attended the funeral service, and travelled distances to be with us; thank you. Sincere thanks to Dr. Joan Salah, your care and compassion will not be forgotten. We would also like to thank the staff at the Northside General Hospital; 2 West, 4 West, and 5 East for the care our mother received during her illness. To the Priest, Father J.J. MacDonald; the organist and choir of St. Joseph's church; the soloist Lisa Penny, our readers Kristina, Aimee and Dawn (Ada's dear grandaughters) - all of you left us with an overwhelming feeling of peace and contentment during the celebration of Mom's life. Thank you to the pallbearers - Gordie Hare, Peter Marsters, Harrison Wright, David Neil, Myers Boutilier and Cotter MacDonald. Thank you also to the members of St. Joseph's Catholic church Lady's Auxiliary for the wonderful reception that followed the service. We gratefully acknowledge the staff of W.J. Dooley's Funeral Home for their compassion, professionalism and dignity shown during our loss. To each and everyone that comforted us during this heartbreaking time we will be forever grateful.
