HOPE- Audrey May Elizabeth Hope passed away peacefully at the Swift Current Care Centre March 21, 2013, with family by her side. Audrey was a devoted wife, mother, grand and great grandmother and will be sadly missed by her family. Audrey was born March 29, 1926, to William and Elizabeth Mutlow of White Bear, Saskatchewan. As a young girl, Audrey truly believed in her father's version of events-she was found in the family cabbage patch. While attending high school in White Bear, Audrey met Munro Hope, a farm boy from south of town, they were married November 10, 1943. In 1944, they established their family farm south of White Bear where they grain farmed, raised cattle, horses, chickens, pigs, kittens and three children: Bob, Dale, and Penny. Audrey and Munro created a warm, loving home where all were welcomed. In 1976, they semi-retired to Swift Current. Audrey's world was her family. She was the tenth of ten closely knit siblings and travelled the difficult road of living to mourn the passing of each and all of them. Audrey was active in her community and always supportive of Munro and their children. Audrey worked in the announcer's booth actively recording results as Munro participated in local gymkhana events. She convened and worked at many a Simmental and Galloway shows. Audrey took her turn checking on cows expected to deliver calves in the wee hours of the night. She was a compassionate care giver as Munro dealt with Parkinson's disease. Audrey loved to dance and to curl and, thanks to television, passionately followed curling bonspiels including this past season. Audrey was predeceased by her loving husband of 64 years, Munro Hope in 2008; father, William Mutlow in 1955; mother, Elizabeth (Hunter) in 1985; brothers: Roland, John (Pearl) and Sam (Toots) Mutlow; sisters; Mary Rickards, Helen (Lawrence) Perrin, Margaret (Carl) Jenson, Ellen (Peter) Byers, Dorothy (Ken) Gray, and Bertha (Raymond) Kerr; sisters-in-law Polly Hope and Joyce (Ivan) King; brother-in-law Norman Myers.
