The death occurred peacefully and surrounded by his loving family at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, on Thursday, March 28, 2013, of Austin Lawrence DesRoches of Searletown, aged 85 years. Austin was born on April 24, 1927, in Central Bedeque, to his late parents Anthony and Angeline (nee Arsenault ) DesRoches. Beloved husband of the late Leta (nee Noonan) DesRoches and loving father of Catherine (Dan) Ross of Emerald, George (Judy) of St. Eleanors, Diana (Calvin) Coughlin of Summerside, Donna (Todd) Swim of St. Eleanors and Brent DesRoches living at home.Also lovingly remembered by his 3 grandchildren: Susan, Amanda and Darcy and many nieces and nephews. Survived by his brothers Ralph (Helen) and Fred (Joan) all of Borden-Carleton and his sister Margaret (Ralph) Arsenault of Summerside. Besides his parents and his wife, Austin was predeceased by his daughter Lesa, granddaughter Codi-Lynn Coughlin and brothers George, Edmond, Henry and Albert. Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Rd., Summerside, until Monday, April 1, then to St. Peter's Church, Seven Mile Bay, for a funeral mass at 10:30 a.m. Interment to take place at a later date in the church cemetery. Memorial donations in Austin's memory to St. Peter's Church Cemetery Fund or the East Prince Funeral Home Chapel Fund would be greatly appreciated.
